September 25, 2022, Shusha “Modern Information Society and Innovations” Public Union, the winner of the special grant competition announced by the State Support Agency for Non-Governmental Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan within the framework of the “Year of Shusha”, held a meeting with the Shusha City State Reserve Department within the framework of the project. During the meeting, Tural Novruzov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of the State Reserve, emphasized the importance of the rapid restoration and construction works in Shusha according to the order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and discussed the role of modern technologies in the effective implementation of these works. Then, the World Bank report “Smart Villages in Azerbaijan: Concept for Analysis and Roadmap” and current international practices were discussed. Conducting surveys with all interested parties (relevant institutions, residents of Shusha, etc.) in order to ensure that the technologies to be applied are easy to understand, as well as the rich historical and cultural heritage of Shusha, as well as to increase the residents’ literacy in the relevant field, to explain to the citizens and to ensure easy adoption of the innovative methods that are intended to be applied in management. , the importance of conducting interviews was emphasized. Consultations were held to determine the content and scope of the surveys and interviews to be conducted. In addition, the Chairman of the Public Union, Seymur Hasanov, spoke about the work and cooperation opportunities that the Public Union can do in the field of identifying and increasing digital knowledge and skills of residents. It should be noted that meetings with the relevant institutions are ongoing within the project.
