An event organized by the Modern Information Society and Innovations Public Union was held at the International Press Center within the framework of the project “Promotion of E-Government Solutions and Support for the Protection of National Interests in the Digital Environment.”
During the event, speakers addressed the role of e-government and digital public services in modern society. It was noted that similar meetings within the framework of the project had also been held in other regions of the country, ensuring broader regional outreach. Key topics discussed included increasing public awareness of electronic government services, improving the quality and accessibility of digital public services, strengthening transparency and accountability through e-government tools, and the importance of digital literacy for effective use of online platforms.
Participants highlighted the growing importance of e-government systems in enhancing interaction between citizens and public institutions. It was emphasized that while traditional communication between citizens and state bodies was often time-consuming and bureaucratic, modern digital platforms and e-government portals enable faster, more transparent, and interactive public services. At the same time, attention was drawn to challenges related to limited public awareness and varying levels of digital skills among different segments of the population.
The discussion also stressed that the successful implementation of e-government initiatives requires not only advanced technological infrastructure but also responsible use, data protection, and public trust. It was concluded that the proposals and recommendations developed during the meeting would be reviewed and submitted to the relevant institutions to support the further development and effective use of e-government services in Azerbaijan.
