The Modern Information Society and Innovations Public Union, the winner of a special grant competition announced by the State Support Agency for Non-Governmental Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan within the framework of the Year of Shusha, held an online working meeting with representatives of the State Urban Planning and Architecture Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan as part of the project implementation.
During the meeting, participants discussed the application of modern technological solutions in the post-conflict recovery and reconstruction process, as well as approaches to facilitating the effective use of these technologies by Shusha residents following their return to the city.
Ramil Jahangirov, Deputy Director of the Committee’s Project Management Department in the liberated territories, emphasized the importance of studying international best practices to ensure that advanced technologies are applied in a manner that respects and preserves Shusha’s rich historical and cultural heritage.
The meeting also included a review of the key thematic directions for surveys to be developed in order to assess residents’ opinions on smart solutions, reconstruction priorities, and related issues. These surveys are intended to support evidence-based decision-making and strengthen citizen participation in the reconstruction process.
It was noted that meetings with other relevant institutions are ongoing within the framework of the project.
