Within the framework of the visit to the Kingdom of Sweden, the Chairman of the Board of the Modern Information Society and Innovations Public Union, Seymur Hasanov, participated in the Sustainable Development Forum held at Stockholm University.
He attended the conference titled “Universities and the 2030 Agenda: Strengthening and Moving Forward – Towards Smart Cities” and took part in panel discussions focusing on the application of artificial intelligence in governance, smart city development, data-driven solutions, and the role of academia in fostering and supporting innovation.
The discussions also addressed the use of innovative technologies and artificial intelligence in environmental protection, as well as in efforts to mitigate global warming and climate change. Participants exchanged views on the opportunities, future prospects, and potential risks associated with the application of AI in public administration.
Special emphasis was placed on two key factors that limit the effective use of artificial intelligence in governance and decision-making: the availability of accurate and comprehensive data, and the presence of appropriate legal and regulatory frameworks. The forum provided a valuable platform for sharing experience, building partnerships, and generating recommendations to support responsible and sustainable AI-driven governance.
