{"id":1642,"date":"2022-12-23T13:29:23","date_gmt":"2022-12-23T13:29:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/misunion.org\/?p=1642"},"modified":"2026-01-10T11:58:51","modified_gmt":"2026-01-10T11:58:51","slug":"a-workshop-on-the-possibilities-of-applying-the-smart-city-concept-was-held-in-shusha-school","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/misunion.org\/az\/a-workshop-on-the-possibilities-of-applying-the-smart-city-concept-was-held-in-shusha-school\/","title":{"rendered":"Workshop on Smart City concept in schools"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>30.11.2022 | Baku, Azerbaijan<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"159\" data-end=\"468\">An educational meeting\u2013workshop was held with students of <strong data-start=\"217\" data-end=\"271\">Full Secondary School No. 6 of the Shusha district<\/strong> by the <strong data-start=\"279\" data-end=\"320\"><span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Modern Information Society and Innovations Public Union<\/span><\/span><\/strong>, the winner of a special grant competition announced by the <strong data-start=\"381\" data-end=\"422\"><span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">State Support Agency for Non-Governmental Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan<\/span><\/span><\/strong> within the framework of the <em data-start=\"451\" data-end=\"467\">Year of Shusha<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"470\" data-end=\"1038\">The interactive session, attended by approximately <strong data-start=\"521\" data-end=\"537\">100 students<\/strong>, began with a presentation on the <em data-start=\"572\" data-end=\"584\">Smart City<\/em> i\u015ftirak\u00e7\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131 <em data-start=\"589\" data-end=\"604\">Smart Village<\/em> concepts, including an overview of the Scandinavian model, and continued with group-based activities. While discussing <strong data-start=\"724\" data-end=\"765\"><span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Shusha<\/span><\/span><\/strong> as a future <em data-start=\"778\" data-end=\"790\">Smart City<\/em>, students shared their visions and highlighted the features they would like to see implemented. They particularly emphasized the importance of incorporating the voices of residents\u2014especially children\u2014into urban planning and development processes.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1040\" data-end=\"1639\">Following active and engaging discussions, each group delivered a presentation outlining their vision of an ideal <em data-start=\"1154\" data-end=\"1166\">Smart City<\/em> i\u015ftirak\u00e7\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131 <em data-start=\"1171\" data-end=\"1186\">Smart Village<\/em>. Students placed special emphasis on issues that require social responsibility and strong civic values, such as digital solutions and e-services, waste management, animal welfare, environmental protection, and the creation of equal opportunities for persons with disabilities. Their focus on these topics reflected a strong awareness of both national and global challenges and demonstrated their potential to grow into responsible and engaged citizens.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1641\" data-end=\"2131\">The students also noted that such meetings help raise awareness not only among themselves but also among their family members and elderly people in their communities who may have limited access to digital technologies.
