In line with the project plan, the visit includes a series of meetings aimed at studying the <strong data-start=\"626\" data-end=\"673\">Scandinavian model of citizen participation<\/strong> in the implementation of the <em data-start=\"703\" data-end=\"715\">Smart City<\/em> i\u015ftirak\u00e7\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131 <em data-start=\"720\" data-end=\"735\">Smart Village<\/em> concepts.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"747\" data-end=\"1095\">As part of the visit, a meeting was held with <strong data-start=\"793\" data-end=\"807\">Maria Holm<\/strong>, Head of the <em data-start=\"821\" data-end=\"841\">Internet of Things<\/em> project for Stockholm, and <strong data-start=\"869\" data-end=\"890\">Claes Johannesson<\/strong>, Head of the <em data-start=\"904\" data-end=\"921\">Smart Stockholm<\/em> program. During the meeting, Sweden\u2019s experience\u2014particularly that of Stockholm\u2014in ensuring active citizen participation in <em data-start=\"1046\" data-end=\"1058\">Smart City<\/em> development was discussed in detail.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1097\" data-end=\"1484\">Special emphasis was placed on the organization of trainings and workshops, as well as the integration of ICT education starting from pre-school levels, as effective tools for developing digital skills among citizens. It was noted that particular attention is paid to <strong data-start=\"1365\" data-end=\"1389\">user-friendly design<\/strong> to facilitate the use of digital technologies by elderly persons and people with disabilities.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1486\" data-end=\"2022\">Municipal officials also explained that residents are encouraged to participate in urban design processes and submit proposals related to infrastructure planning through the <em data-start=\"1660\" data-end=\"1676\">Stockholm Room<\/em> and a dedicated website, which serves as a <strong data-start=\"1720\" data-end=\"1752\">virtual 3D model of the city<\/strong>. In addition, the <strong data-start=\"1771\" data-end=\"1788\">Citizen Panel<\/strong>, established to assess public opinion, plays an important role in promoting active civic engagement. This mechanism is designed to systematically gather the views and recommendations of residents, who are the city\u2019s key stakeholders.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2024\" data-end=\"2515\">During the meeting, detailed information was provided on recent developments in the field of <em data-start=\"2117\" data-end=\"2129\">Smart City<\/em> i\u015ftirak\u00e7\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131 <em data-start=\"2134\" data-end=\"2149\">Smart Village<\/em> construction in Azerbaijan. Particular attention was given to the successful implementation of the relevant concept in <strong data-start=\"2269\" data-end=\"2311\">A\u011fal\u0131 village of the Zangilan district<\/strong>, which was presented as an example of best practice.
