Digital, Intelligent, Resilient or Smart city?
- Digital city – These cities are connected to the internet and are based on web-based representation that can enable objects to communicate through the Internet of Things (IoT).
- Intelligent city – These cities have high capacity for learning and innovation which can be the basis to building the creativity in the population.
- Resilient city – These cities mirror urban capacity through its individuals, communities, institutions, companies, and system to endure, absorb, adapt and develop no matter how hard or great the shock faced to ensure long-term sustainability.
- Smart city – These cities are a combination of digital, intelligent and resilient city concepts due to specified reasons:
- it must be digital to be smart as it integrates ICTs into its services, networks and infrastructure;
- it must be intelligent to be smart as it utilizes the potential of artificial intelligence to make programs working accordingly human intelligence and serve at the best interest of people;
- it must be resilient to be smart as it includes enhanced quality of life for its inhabitants to make it more sustainable.
